How to Play Videos Smoothly On Your Computer
If you are trying to watch one of the FTH videos online at this website at the video stops consistently in mid-sentence or pausing regularly, this is probably an indication of a slower than recommended internet connection, or another program using the same internet bandwidth.
If you're experience stuttering performance in our streamed videos, then double check you do not have another program accessing the internet at the same time, and either pause or wait for one to finish before starting the other.
Another common solution for all streamed video available on the internet is to wait until the entire film as been buffered in your cache. This is achieved by pausing the 'play' button but allowing the film to continue to download.
The timeline bar has two columns that will steadily grow from left to right... a soft pink bar, and brighter red bar. Once the softer bar has reached the extreme right, then it is safe to press play and watch the video smoothly. This technique will work with all videos whether you use dial-up or broadband speed.
Most streaming videos work best with internet connections of over 500kps.
