10/10/09 - FTH Disaster Relief - Emergency Appeal
FTH Distribution partners, Cathedral of Praise (Manila), Rhema South Pacific (Samoa) and Pondok Kasih (Indonesia) are working around the clock to bring food and other relief supplies to survivors of recent flooding, earthquakes, and tsunami waves.
Ps. David Sumrall, Senior Pastor from Cathedral of Praise was asked recently what do the people need most?
His response was most sobering.
"Where to start? The need here in Manila is like a black hole, there is so much that needs to be done!"
This is an opportunity to share the compassion of Christ - to adults, to children, to the fragments of families who are trying to piece together their shattered, shell-shocked lives. We can reach out to a broken and distraught people as their hope in finding their lost ones fades.

6/10/09 - Manilla Flood Relief Update - Hard couple of weeks
"It's been a hard couple of weeks in Manilla, but us Philippino people are resilient and we will bounce back from this. 4,700 of our church members were underwater when the flooding was at it's peak, now just 350 members are still underwater. Unfortunately some predictions indicate the flooding may remain long-term in these areas, as long as Christmas and even until Feb 2010.
Our church members have just left for our next food distribution that will provide isolated people with enough food to last a week."

4/10/09 - Padang Earthquake Relief Update - Help is on the way!
FTH Relief Partners have arranged cargo space on a Military Hercules aircraft to transport emergency supplies to survivors of Padang Earthquake. The MAF air service has agreed to fly a team down to assist in recovery and distribution efforts, and a cargo ship is due to leave Monday 5th fully laden with 100 tons of relief supplies.

3/10/09 - FTH Disaster Relief Update - Samoa
"My name is Pattie Duininck. I am the president and founder of Rhema South Pacific. We are current working with various agencies to distribute food and would be happy to come along side you in the effort to help those families left hurting from the tsunami.
I have a 14 member staff and two trucks that can bring the supplies out to the remote villages. We also have a dormitory facility that we can temporarily house 36 people that are homeless or aid workers. We can house them but would need assistance in feeding them and funds necessary for electricity and water as it is very expensive here in Samoa.
We are ready and in position to help.
The future is bright."
