21/7/10 - Pakistan Urgent Prayer Request

Dear Family in Christ,

Some time ago two Christian brothers were falsely accused of the Islamic blasphemy law in Faisal Abad in the province of Punjab, Pakistan . Both were murdered today in district courts by an unknown person when they came there to defend themselves.

Faisal Abad is the city where I and my team with the local pastors held a crusade last year in April and one night we were also attacked by the extremists but the Lord used the police to protect us.

There has been a violent reaction to these murders by the Christian youth. In retaliation, Muslim youth are also attacking Waris Pura an area within Faisal Abad where the majority is Christians. One more person has been killed in these attacks and many people have been injured. Two Churches have been burnt and many Christians have left their houses in Faisal Abad. Army has been appointed by the Pakistani government to take care of the situation.

Please pray for the Christians and for the salvation of Muslims, And also for this deadly situation in Faisal Abad. Thank you!

In Christ,

Salik John

Pastor

9/7/10 - Pakistan - Ambulance Update

Dear Family in Christ,

Greetings in the most precious and powerful name of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ!

Waiting in line for medical help | Pakistan Ambulance Project - Feed The Hungry AustraliaThank you so much for your prayers and support. In Pakistan, God is doing awesome things through all of our ministries (The Children's Home, Evangelistic Ministry, Widows Ministry, 23 Churches, The Bible College and the Mobile Medical Ministry). "The Mobile Medical Ministry" is one of the most effective ministries in opening doors for us in the hard core Muslim areas, where it is difficult to evangelize. But through our medical ministry we are able to go into these unreached and needy areas every month and we are sharing the love of Christ and praying with the people before starting medical outreaches.

Young boys getting a checkup | Pakistan Ambulance Project - Feed The Hungry AustraliaIn the month of June, my younger brother Pastor Samson J. Barkat led the medical team into a village called "Lakhne-Ke". Before they started the medical camp Pastor Samson shared the love of Christ with people and prayed with them. In this village about 200 people were treated in our medical camp, their medical needs were met and the whole village was greatly touched by the Love of Christ. I have made attachments of the photos of this medical camp which we did in the month of June. In the month of July, again we will do a medical camp in one of most needy areas of Pakistan.

I and my evangelistic team will be holding crusades in at least five different areas. Thousands and even tens of thousands of souls will be touched through these crusades.
